The Tool Library is a partnership between the Athens County Public Libraries (its sponsor), Rural Action, and UpCycle Ohio’s Community Makerspace.

You can see what’s available through the Tool Library online portal, or you can stop into the Makerspace in person. To check out tools, you will need to show your ID and complete the borrower’s agreement at the Community Makerspace, located at 751 West Union Street in Athens.

Note: You don’t have to be a member of the Makerspace to borrow from the Tool Library. Tools are available for two-week free checkouts by any resident of Ohio ages 18 or older.
