Athens County Public Libraries Tool Library

With the closure of the ReUse Makerspace in 2020, ACPL has partnered with Rural Action and other local organizations to keep valuable resources in our community.

After a lot of hard work by many involved in the project, we’re excited to announce the official opening of the Athens County Public Libraries Tool Library at the Upcycle Ohio Community Makerspace. Tools in the library are available for two-week free checkouts by any resident of Ohio ages 18 or older.

To check out tools you will need to show your ID and complete the borrower’s agreement at the Community Makerspace, located at 751 West Union Street in Athens.

Available tools can be seen here, and if you have any questions please contact the Makerspace at (740) 447-9014; they are handling the maintenance and circulation of the tools, and all the tools are housed there.

Note: You do not have to be a member of the Makerspace to borrow from the tool library.
