A free service for the blind, visually impaired, or physically handicapped.

have a reading disability due to a medical condition (such as dyslexia)

You may qualify for the Talking Book Program!

Your Library offers free books, magazines, and more on digital cartridge to those who cannot read standard print materials. Digital players and accessories are available free of charge.

Am I eligible?

Any resident of the United States or American citizen living abroad who is unable to read or use standard print as a result of a temporary or permanent visual or physical limitation may qualify.

What materials are available?

Books and Magazines

Choose from: bestsellers, classics, mysteries, westerns, poetry, biographies, informational books, children’s books, and foreign language materials. There are more than seventy popular magazines available recorded or in braille.

Music Services

Choose from: books and magazines about music, braille and large print musical scores, and instructional cassettes.
