Dear Library: From Gull

8th grade

Dear Library,

Years ago I remember passing the library but never actually going in – why? I didn’t have time, but when I got to visit the library on a school field trip and got my own library card, I felt like I could read as many books as possible. Why wouldn’t someone want to get books for free and return when finished? And to think you can have all this by just owning a library card! Even though there are Kindles and Nooks, it can’t replace the feeling of handing your card to the librarian and getting your book stamped. Though the outside world is changing right in front of our eyes, I bet when you look back years after now, the Library will still be here and will still be helping the community one book at a time.
