History
Started as an independent library in 1937 and incorporated into the countywide system in 1959, the Chauncey library moved to its present location–the former home of the village post office–in 1997.
Programming
The Chauncey library is a lively and life-giving hive of activity, from after-hours teen workshops to themed storytimes and a weekly community coffee hour with the library manager–plus work days in the community garden, which is a partnership project with Community Food Initiatives.
