In 2023, we celebrated 10 years of Book-a-Bike, the first public library bike-lending program in the state, and one of the first in the nation!
Borrow a bike and bike equipment for free at libraries in Athens, Glouster, The Plains, Nelsonville, Chauncey, and Albany.
Some ACPL locations are within easy distance of the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, and our Chauncey library is near the Bailey’s Trail System, offering youth mountain bikes for ages 8-12. Our Athens location offers several specialty bikes, including an accessible bike and eBikes.
