Use of Public Meeting Spaces

Meeting spaces in the public libraries of Athens County are available by reservation. Please observe the following rules:

  • All meetings must be free and open to the public.
  • No money may be exchanged for goods or services.  No donations may be solicited or collected.
  • Please vacate meeting spaces at the agreed-upon time.
  • Please check in with the library staff before the meeting.
  • Audio-visual equipment is available. Please request any needed equipment when you reserve the space.
  • Limited kitchen facilities are available, or groups may have events catered.
  • Please leave meeting spaces clean, turn off all lights, and lock the door as you leave the space.
  • Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. All library grounds are also tobacco-free.
  • There is a limit of two (2) meetings per month per organization; some exceptions may be possible.
  • Meeting spaces may be reserved no more than two (2) months before the meeting date; however, in the case of an organization’s annual meeting or a meeting which requires advance publicity, the reservation may be made up to a year before the meeting.
  • Meeting spaces are not available on Sundays.
