Magazines and Newspapers

A broad array of current magazines and newspapers can be found in our libraries. Through OPLIN and the internet, patrons also have access to online databases of newspapers and magazines. Magazines are also available through the Ohio Digital Library and Zinio.

Large print books

Several thousand books are available in large print for those individuals who prefer this easier-to-read format. The books cover many different genres, and are available at all locations.

Reference

All seven libraries have collections of encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, and other reference materials for use in the library. Materials designated as reference cannot be checked out. Ask a librarian for help finding copies of reference materials which can be checked out.

Childrens

All of our libraries have books for children, including picture books, reference books, nonfiction for children of all ages, and fiction for the older child. A collection of children’s books and stories on audio cassette is also available.

Story times and toddler times are offered for young children during the school year at several libraries. Check our Events page for the current schedule.

Every summer, the Library offers unique and fun summer Book Camp programs. Ask for more information at your library.

Young Adult

The Young Adult collection has a variety of materials for young people ages 12-18. Included are popular and current fiction titles in both paperback and hardcover, current non-fiction titles, books on tape, teen magazines, graphic novels, comics, and manga. If you don’t see what you want, please let us know. For homework, personal interests, or reading for fun, teen friendly librarians are available to answer questions, help with a book selection or get you started with your research.

Local History and Genealogy

Many items of local historical interest are found in our libraries. Items designated as Local History cannot be checked out, although there may be copies of some local history titles which can be checked out.
