Baby Storytime for children birth to 24 months

Tuesdays, January 5 through March 16, 10:00 am

Delight and stimulate your baby with books and song.


Family Storytime for children ages 2 to 5

Wednesdays, 10:00 am through March 17

Share books, rhymes, music, and movement with your children.


Modern Sport Fencing with Lyle Wiemerslage introductory classes for kids and teens

4:30 pm grades 1-5

6:00 pm grades 6 and up

Participants will learn basic footwork, defense, and attacks. There will be open fencing with electronic weapons and scoring machine.

Lyle Wiemerslage is an A-rated fencer who competes in all 3 weapons at the Division 1 level. He has competed in World Cup International Events and trained students to the level of national champions. Lyle is also a nationally ranked fencing referee.

Kids' International Club Visit Palestine

Join in games, crafts and songs.

Enjoy an exotic snack.

A family native to Palestine will be our host.

Library programs are free and open to everyone.�

The library is an easy walk from the Mill Street Apartments. Athens Transit provides bus service from Carriage Hill Apartments.

Community Mural Project Mix colors, paint, collaborate.

Saturdays, March 27 and April 3, 12--2 pm.

Work with professional mural artist Kasey Jones to create a mural to hang in the library.

Any child interested in volunteering at the Nelsonville Library is welcome on a regular schedule or drop-in basis.
