Parade of the Hills - Library Junction - ON STAGE The Columbus Zoo

Learn about the animals that travel with Jack Hanna. Come join us for a special visit from animals that are not on exhibit at the zoo but on the road with Jack. An experienced zoo keeper will help us learn where these animals come from, what they eat and possibly touch the birds, reptiles, a variety of mammals including cats such as a clouded leopard! Mark your calendar for this exciting presentation at Library Junction. Bring your safari hat, a favorite lawn chair and prepare yourself for an awesome adventure.

Sally Crandall’s stories are designed to tickle your funny bone and stretch your imagination from here to yonder. Sally helps the listeners travel without ever leaving their seats. Bring a lawn chair,  your imagination, relax and enjoy this special program!



Parade of the Hills - Library Junction - ON STAGE BIG Snakes from near & far with Dave Sagan

Dave Sagan from the Hocking Woods Nature Center at Hocking College will be here with the BIG SNAKES! Grab your lawn chair, sunscreen and your sense of adventure as you get ready to meet some BIG SNAKES!


Final Friday Summer Art Series Hands-on art programs for kids of all ages.

The last Friday of every month at 6:00 pm.

Friday, June 27: Origami workshop. Learn the ancient art of paper folding.

Friday, July 25: Sidewalk Chalk Art. The sidewalk will be our canvas. You may get messy but we'll clean up with soap and water...and mother nature will take care of cleaning the sidewalk for us!

Friday, August 29: Metal Punching. We'll supply the tin, the punch tool and pattern suggestions. You supply the imagination.

Final Fridays on the Square is Nelsonville's monthly celebration of the Arts. The Nelsonville Public Library has a reception for its newest Art in the Library exhibits on Final Friday (see separate listing for details).

All library programs are free and open to the public.


Young Volunteers - Anytime! We can always use some help at the library!

Any child interested in volunteering at the Nelsonville Library is welcome on a regular schedule or drop-in basis.

Very young volunteers need to bring a grown-up along.


The Plains Public Library

Wells (Albany) Public Library
