Tai Chi with Frances Gander

Join Frances Gander for this Tai chi intro-session. You will learn the Tai Chi way of moving and the philosophy that guides it. Tai Chi will improve your flexibility, balance, and circulation. Wear loose clothing.

Tai chi is sometimes referred to as “moving meditation”—practitioners move their bodies slowly, gently, and with awareness, while breathing deeply.

An eight-week study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine showed individuals with arthritis and/or fibromyalgia who had performed a Tai Chi course showed moderate improvements in pain, fatigue and stiffness.

Open to adults and children ages 12 and up.
