Friday, March 28: Watercolor Painting workshop with local artist Terry Fortkamp. Learn about the possibilities of watercolor painting, whether you are new to it or have some experience.

Friday, April 25: Cartooning workshop with local artist Terence Hanley. Learn how to draw cartoons; and experienced cartoon artists can bring their questions for some expert help.

Friday, May 30: Digital Self Portraits with librarian Ryan Spellman. We will take your picture and digitize it for you to color, decorate, or embelish!

Final Fridays on the Square is Nelsonville's monthly celebration of the Arts. The Nelsonville Public Library has a reception for its newest Art in the Library exhibits on Final Friday (see separate listing for details).

Friday, July 25: Sidewalk Chalk Art. The sidewalk will be our canvas. You may get messy but we'll clean up with soap and water...and mother nature will take care of cleaning the sidewalk for us!

Friday, August 29: Metal Punching. We'll supply the tin, the punch tool and pattern suggestions. You supply the imagination.

Young Volunteers - Anytime! We can always use some help at the library!

Any child interested in volunteering at the Nelsonville Library is welcome on a regular schedule or drop-in basis.

Very young volunteers need to bring a grown-up along.
